Based in Glasgow's bustling South Side, KALO continually strives to bring customers an elite selection of today's best contemporary jewellery.

Founded in 1998, KALO has since earned its place among Scotland's top contemporary retailers. With every piece in stock hand picked by staff from the corners of the globe, KALO aim to bring customers up to the minute style at competitive prices.

In November 2006, accomplished designer, Joanne MacKellar took ownership of KALO. Jo graduated from The Glasgow School of Art Jewellery Department in 1997, following on with a Masters Degree from the Birmingham School of Jewellery in 2000. Since then she has been running JUNO DESIGN GALLERY alongside her mother, a textile designer, in Argyll. Jo has spent many years developing her skills in Jewellery design and manufacture and is constantly working on new ideas, her new collections now available at KALO.

This is an exciting time for KALO with a recent makeover for the shop alongside the development of this new site, allowing us to bring the same commitment to quality direct to your home. We will be introducing fresh new ideas and designs to KALO, working in materials from Silver to Platinum with good design and quality always in mind, KALO welcomes special commissions from customers who wish to transform ideas into reality.

Whether it be an old piece they wish to give a refreshing new makeover, stones from a ring they wish to transform into a necklace and earrings, for example, or a dream diamond engagement ring they wish to create for that special question, Kalo can make dreams possible in the on-site workshop. We also offer a repair service, valuations and advice.
